Prohibited content will be removed or otherwise managed in accordance with applicable law, including our obligations under the EU Digital Services Act. Violations of Mappica’s Terms may also result in account suspension or termination. If you believe that prohibited content has been shared through Mappica, you can report it to us.
Reporting Illegal Content
You can report illegal or prohibited content to Mappica using the following method. Send an email to support@mappica.com and include:
- A description of the content and why you believe it is illegal or violates our Terms.
- The specific URL or location of the content.
- Any relevant additional information to assist us in investigating your report.
Our Review and Action
- We will review your report and take appropriate action, such as removing or restricting the content, in accordance with the laws of your jurisdiction.
- We aim to acknowledge and address reports within 48 hours.
- If we remove or restrict content, we will notify the user who posted it, explaining the reason and providing information on how to appeal.
Appeals Process
If your content has been removed or restricted and you wish to contest this decision, you may appeal:
- Send an email to support@mappica.com with “Appeal” mentioned in the subject line. Include details about the original content and the reason for your appeal.
- We will notify you of the outcome of your appeal within 7 business days.
User Rights and Transparency
We respect your rights, including freedom of expression and access to information, regardless of your jurisdiction. We ensure that any actions we take to remove or restrict content are compliant with applicable laws, proportionate to the nature of the content and its potential impact, and transparent to our users:
- We only remove or restrict content in line with legal requirements or our platform's policies, ensuring that your right to express opinions and share information is respected.
- The goal of our appeals process is to ensure that users have the opportunity to challenge decisions made about their content.
- We notify users when their content is removed or restricted, providing the reason and information on how to appeal.
